Two Belly Whips
Two Belly whips are the most common type of whips made by Alex's Whip Shop. They come in sizes that range from 6 foot (~1.8 m) to 9 foot (~2.75 m) long and are usually built as bullwhips, but snake whips are easily accommodated upon request. They include the Explorer line, which is very popular. Also included in this type of whip is another performance variant that is based on 6 foot (~1.8 m) and 8 foot (~2.4 m) bullwhips but with a longer handle of 12 to 14 inches (~30 to 35 cm).
Alex has transitioned the builds on most of his two belly whips so their overlay is finished in a Tapered Twist which ends with a pseudo english-eye. This design works great on these whips because it does not have a Fall hitch to disrupt the flow of the whip by enabling the rollout to be much smoother, which makes them easier to crack. The pseudo english-eye makes Fall swaps very easy. This feature comes in handy for performers who might need to make a change during a show. or anyone who may want to use their whip for targeting or cutting as well as cracking since it is almost effortless to do swap Falls. The Explorer line is the exception because the Indiana Jones style whips are supposed to have a Fall hitch. The only other exception would be if a client insists on having a Fall hitch.
